Comparison of automated ASPECTS, large vessel occlusion detection and CTP analysis provided by Brainomix and RapidAI in patients with suspected ischaemic stroke

The authors from Imperial College, a leading academic institution who use RAPID at the Charing Cross Hospital in London, looked at their cases and independently processed them using Brainomix 360 to see how it would compare. The results are a strong validation of the superiority of the Brainomix 360 Stroke software.

In summary, Brainomix outperforms in terms of every imaging modality:

• e-ASPECTS was in closer agreement to the expert neuroradiology read than RAPID ASPECTS was
• e-CTA was more accurate for LVO detection
• e-CTP was similar to RAPID CTP but was a better predictor of final infarct volume than RAPID in patients with recanalization (an independent reference standard for core estimation)
